Hungarian Labour Merit Medal 1954 type

It is a very early issue with same year award certificate to a famous Hungarian writer and dramaturge (playwright). The full size medal comes with the original early case of issue, a ribbon bar and a small award certificate booklet all in excellent condition.

Istvan Forgach (born in Szeged 1905) was a famous Hungarian writer and worked as the playwright of the Hungarian National Theatre between 1950-75. A copy of his public records belongs to the lot.

The lot includes the full size medal, the corresponding ribbon bar and early award case and a small award certificate booklet. All have the 1949 coat of arm displayed.

As Hungarian Prison Services were much smaller than other armed organizations, it is a rare type of certificate.

This decoration was a Disaster Relief medal awarded by the Hungarian government for those who participated in the Tisza river flood protection works in 1970.

Comes with its original award case and small wearing permit certificate booklet.  

Hungarian Workers and Peasants Rule Medal (1956)

A beautiful condition medal in its great original case. It comes with its large award certificate which is used and the edges have tears. The medal set was awarded to Lieutenant Tibor Katona for his services to the new pro-Soviet government while fighting against the revolution.

Hungarian Labour Merit Medal 1954 type

A very nice early "Rakosi" era medal produced before 1956 but awarded in 1962. It comes with its original 1954 type case of issue where the 1949 coat of arm was covered with a new (1957) coat of arm. (the top vignette can be kept or completely removed as the new owner wishes) The small award certificate shows that the medal was awarded to Mr. Ferenc Kiss.
